| SAFRINET, within SADC,
operates under the auspices of Southern African Centre for Co-operation
in Agricultural Research and Training (SACCAR),
and the sub-region nominated them to form the co-ordinating institute.
SACCAR, however, does not have the capacity to co-ordinate SAFRINET and
requested the Agricultural Research Council – Plant Protection Research
Institute, Pretoria, South Africa, to undertake the task.
